"Artists Across America" at Flower Pepper Gallery

After the success of "The Season of Spring" at Flower Pepper Gallery, they asked me to curate another show. Since, I had recently come off the largest road trip of my life, staying with and meeting different artists from all across the country - I thought it would be epic to showcase as much as their work would fit into the gallery. And so we called it "Artists Across America".

I think the walls of the gallery were probably more stacked with art then they had ever been before. It was pretty special to walk in and see all of it up there - especially since it was like all these people I had met were now together in a single room. I remember when it all arrived, thinking how the hell are we going to get it to fit, but Nicole Bruckman (who was the gallery director at the time) figured out a great layout and it looked epic.

As the show was up, I got the opportunity to start my own space, so immediately following this exhibit was the launch of Daniel Rolnik Gallery. 

What was really special was that several of the artists actually came into town for the show, including Marcy Miranda Janes (Arizona), Brent Houzenga (New Orleans), and Henry Lipkis (New Orleans).

Rather than a panel discussion - we had the artists come in and discuss their works in a round-robbin style event named "The Artist Roadshow" - most of which was filmed and uploaded to YouTube.
